Appearance: Pale gold with green tints.
Nose: Honey, peaches, spice, mineral and floral qualities.
Palate: Off-dry with softish acidity, midweight. Almost a late harvest quality from the addition of icewine as sussreserve (to add sweetness). Spicy character on the midpalate, honeyed notes and cooked fruit as well. Long clean finish.
Conclusions: Unusual and interesting Vidal for consumption by itself. Try this in place of the German wines with English names at the Liquor store. Best chilled by itself, or served with mildly spicy foods. For consumption by 2009 |
